The Newborn Sessions
The Newborn Sessions
10 gorgeous signature images of your choice included, delivered to you digitally.
Before you know it that tiny bundle you held so tightly in your arms, is crawling around trying to discover all they can.
Capturing these teeny tiny details that will change so quickly is an investment that you will treasure forever.
I take a baby-led photography approach in my studio. I want to capture your babies just as they are. I want to capture the moments that make them them. The way they yawn, the way their toes curl and how they like their arms to be. I like my pictures to be as unique as they are which is why I do not pose babies like traditional baby studios but instead you will receive pictures of your newborn as they truly are. I generally capture them in one of my nappy covers or in white.
After I have captured your baby on my beanbag, we then move into the family photos. During this part of your session, I capture moments of you and your partner with your baby and then capture you individually with your baby to. If there are any siblings involved, this is where I will bring them into the session to.
Please allow up to 1.5 hours for your photography session, as I allow time for feeding, pee, poo, puke, and of course cuddling!
Your newborn photography sessions take place in my cosy back garden studio.
All sessions include the full use of props, fabrics and knitwear that are updated regularly. Images included in all packages are professionally retouched and will be provided via a password protected online gallery. Once your images have been edited you will receive a gallery of around 50 images for you to choose from. 10 digital images are included in the booking fee. Options to upgrade your package with additional images are available once you have seen your gallery (Pricing information for this is on my pricing page)
When is the best time for a newborn session?
I recommend booking your newborn session around 10 days after your due date. During this time, babies are usually their sleepiest, which helps achieve those peaceful, curled-up images you’ll love. Ideally, I like to capture newborns within the first three weeks of birth to ensure they’re at their most relaxed.
While I suggest scheduling around 10 days after your due date, please don’t worry if baby arrives early or late, just send me a message, and we’ll find a time that works best for you and your new arrival.
